Brown Rice

  1. Bring 2-2 1/2 cups water to a boil. Add 1 tsp butter or margarine and salt (optional).
  2. Stir in 1 cup rice. Reduce heat, cover and summer 45-50 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat. Let stand covered for 5 minutes or until water is absorbed. Fluff with fork.
  4. 4 Serve
Makes 2 cups of cooked rice
