Hearty Chili

Makes 8 servings


  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 ribs celery, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 14 oz cans kidney beans, undrained
  • 14 oz can pinto beans
  • 14 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 2 14 oz cans tomato sauce
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder, or to taste
1. Brown onion, celery and beef in skillet. Pour into slow cooker.
2. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well.
3. Cover. Cook on low 8 hours.
