- 3 or 4 thick broccoli stalks without florets
- 1 Tbsp. sesame or safflower oil
- 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp. tamari
- Squeeze of fresh lemon juice (optional)
Use carrot peeler to remove thick skin from outside of stalks. Cut stalks lengthwise into thin slices. In large skillet, heat oil. Add garlic, sauteing briefly. Add broccoli. Saute 3-5 minutes over medium-high heat, until tender. Toss in tamari and lemon.
