Trey's Biscuits

  • 2 cups flour
  • 8 Tbs butter plus 2 Tbsp.
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  1. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Cut in butter until mixture resembles cornmeal.
  3. Make a well, and pour half milk in. Knead with hands. Slowly add in remaining milk while kneading.
  4. Flour flat surface, and knead two or three times. Roll dough out to 1/2 inch thick. Use cookie cutter or cup to cut round biscuits.
  5. Butter parchment paper (on baking sheet). Place cut biscuits on parchment.Put melted butter on top of biscuits.
  6. Bake on 425 degrees F for 10-13 minutes.
