Homemade Donuts with a Short Cut

  • Bread Dough
  • Cinnamon Sugar
  • Vegetable Oil

Heat oil in a large skillet, or fryer. You will want it about 325-350 degrees.

Allow the dough to come to room temperature.

Roll the dough into balls about walnut size. (These will be like donut holes.)

Drop them in hot oil 2-3 at a time. You don’t want to over crowd the pan.

Cook until golden brown. Flip if necessary. Sometimes they flip themselves which is cool to watch.

As soon as you remove hot donuts roll in Cinnamon Sugar. Or for a fun alternative, Drop Donuts and Cinnamon Sugar in a Brown Paper Bag and let the kids shake.
