Spanish Rice Dinner

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomato
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • pinch of oregano

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a skillet, brown beef, onion, green pepper, garlic.
  2. Add rice, Water, Tomatoes, and spices; Mix well!
  3. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until the rice is tender.
  4. Dinner is served!
